The development of Internet of Things (IoT), automation, and smart electrical installation systems requires electrical engineering education to provide practical experiences that are relevant to technology development and engineering standards. This study aimed to develop a Smart Home Training Kit as a learning medium for building electrical installation practice by integrating electrical installation, protection, measurement, automation, and IoT-based Smart Home technology in accordance with the General Requirements for Electrical Installations (PUIL). The study employed Research and Development (R&D) using the Four-D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The product consisted of a modular practice panel equipped with electrical installation components, protection devices, smart switches, smart relays, sensors, an IoT module, a digital power meter, practical modules, job sheets, and user guidance. Validity was assessed by three validators using Aiken's V. Practicality was assessed using a Likert scale, while effectiveness was assessed through a questionnaire involving 30 students. The results indicated an average validity coefficient of 0.90, practicality of 91.25%, and effectiveness of 92.6%. These results indicate that the training kit can support contextual practical learning while introducing the integration of Smart Home and IoT technologies.
